Non-Contact Heart Rate Monitoring Based on Millimeter Wave Radar

چکیده
Millimeter Wave(mmWave) radar has been widely used in vital sign monitoring with non-contact and privacy protection. To reduce the effect of random body motion, respiration, its harmonics on heart rate estimation, based frequency-modulated continuous-wave (FMCW) is researched this paper. First, a signal extraction algorithm designed for Range Bin variation caused by motion heavy breathing. Second, heartbeat Adaptive Notch Filter (ANF) Empirical Wavelet Transform (EWT). The harmonic respiration will be suppressed, separated. Finally, weighted estimation performed according to relationship obtain rate. Twenty subjects are invited experiment. experimental results show that proposed method can improve signal-to-noise ratio (SNR), interference, estimate mean absolute error less than 4BPM.

Non Contact Heart Monitoring
Heart rate is, among the many vital signs (respiration rate, blood oxygen saturation, arterial blood pressure, etc.), one of the most commonly measured and monitored. Whatever will be the sensing principle or the monitoring method used, data referred to the heart rate can be considered the primary vital sign information which is needed on a patient approach in both emergency and clinical situat...
متن کاملTerahertz Imaging, Millimeter-wave Radar
The millimeter wave (MMW) band of frequencies extends from 30 GHz to 300 GHz, with some fuzziness on both ends of this spectrum. The terahertz (THz) band extends from about 200 GHz to about 30 THz, despite the fact that the lower frequencies in this range are not strictly 10 Hz or higher. These bands are also variously called submillimeter, far-infrared, and near-millimeter. In recent years, th...
متن کاملA New Kind of Non-acoustic Speech Acqui- Sition Method Based on Millimeter Wave Radar
Air is not the only medium that can spread and can be used to detect speech. In our previous paper, another valuable medium — millimeter wave (MMW) was introduced to develop a new kind of speech acquisition technique [6]. Because of the special features of the MMW radar, this speech acquisition method may provide some exciting possibilities for a wide range of applications. In the proposed stud...
متن کاملThe 4 GHz Bandwidth Millimeter - Wave Radar
The landmark construction of the Advanced Research Projects Agency (ARPA)–Lincoln C-band Observables Radar (ALCOR) at Kwajalein Atoll in 1970 sparked significant interest in the ballistic missile defense (BMD) and satellite-identification communities [1]. ALCOR's 50 cm range resolution using 512 MHz bandwidth data confirmed the viability of valuable new BMD discrimination techniques and provide...
